We at CommissionASculpture.com ("we", "CAS" or "the site") have created this privacy policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to protecting your personal information and informing you about how we handle it. Please review this privacy policy periodically as we may modify it from time to time. This privacy policy was last revised on May 10th, 2004. Each time you visit the Site or provide us with information, by doing so you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy at that time.
Our Pledge to You
CAS pledges that any and all personal information you provide will be kept confidential and will never be sold, rented, leased, or intentionally disclosed to any third party, including email addresses. The only exception would be when required to do so by any applicable law.
CAS uses Search engine optimisation (SEO) and tracking (TR) practices to enhance its commercial effectiveness and make your use of the site easier. These practices will include (amongst others) the recording of the website that you were referred from, your IP address, the use of cookies etc. These practices are common amongst all types of web sites and do not in any way constitute an abnormal use of data collection.
Information We Collect and What We Do with It:
Apart form the above described SEO and tracking practices, we collect only information you voluntarily give us, we do not do anything with it other than help you connect with clients/artists and effectively administer the sites operations. All information provided by you as part of your profile will be accessible to registered users and site guests alike. We do not however display clients personal contact information.
If you use CAS without registering, only SEO and TR information is collected. Your experience with the site will be greatly enhanced however, if you register. When you register, we collect and store in our database only information that you voluntarily provide when you fill out our registration/subscription form(s) and complete your profile etc. You can review and edit this information (except usernames) at any time by logging in and clicking on the Personal information link on the index page. If you have forgotten your password you can use the site Password reminder facility located on the login page of the site. If you have forgotten your user name please use the contact us page to advise accordingly and we will usually respond within 4-24 hours.
If, as an artist, you choose to become a full member of CAS by purchasing a subscription, you will be transfer to our payment gateway "Paypal". Paypal is a major payment processing facility that securely manages the site's payments. All payment information provided in the payment process will be recorded by paypal and not CAS. We feel that this provides you with more security than we could do so directly.
Security
This site is not hosted on a secure server which is customary only for sites that directly take your payment information. As stated above, this site does not collect payment information.
Monitoring of the site
CAS reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor all services used on the site. This includes, but is not limited to, the materials posted in the public areas of the site as well as the contents of communications transmitted while engaging in use of the site. CAS shall have the right to remove any material that violates, or is alleged to violate, the law or this agreement. CAS shall have the right to disclose information transmitted while using the Service for any reason if CAS believes that it is reasonable to do so, including to: satisfy laws, regulations, or governmental or legal requests; operate the Service properly; or protect itself and it's users.
Email from Us
When you first register at CAS, we send you an automatic email that contains a welcome message with general instructions about the site and a reminder of your username and password. We also send automatic emails notifying you when new communications are waiting for you at the site. This action can be disabled only with the cancellation of your membership.
Other than the above, you will get no regular emails from us, but you might get an occasional email under the following circumstances:
In response to your comments, questions, complaints and the like.
To advise you on making better use of the site.
To advise you regards general site news.
If we receive a question or complaint about you, we might email you about this.
On rare occasions we have to go offline for planned maintenance and will notify members in advance by email if possible.
